I asked Jenna several questions, to tell part of her story and introduce you all to her

What distances you like to run?

A typical run for me depends on the week, time of year, and upcoming events. I just ran my first half marathon in December so I was putting in at least one longer run a week. Since then, I have been running three milers a few times a week and will start to increase my distance in the next few weeks. (I am recovering from a minor foot injury)

How long have you been running?

I have been running just shy of three years. I started because my younger sister started running and I didn't want her to be better at it than me. (embarrassing but true)

What has been your favorite race and distance you have ever run?  Tell us why?

My half marathon last December, just because it was such a huge personal goal to accomplish and it felt amazing to finish.

If you could run any race in the entire world, where would it be and why would you pick it?

The Disney marathon. No explanation needed.

Do you enjoy running in the spring, summer, fall or winter the best?

Any time but the winter. I am definitely not a fan of running in the cold, snow, and ice.

Tell me what goes through your mind when you cross a finish line?

I'm usually ready for a high five and some coffee. I enjoy morning races most :)

What is your favorite kind of running, solo running or running with a friend or group?

I love running regardless of whether I am in a big group or alone because there are benefits to both! Running alone gives me time to recharge my batteries and reflect, while running with someone else or a group gives me the chance to get some good social time in!

Do you listen to music while you run?  Give us the top 2 running songs on your playlist.

I listen to all kinds of music when I run. I usually play a pandora station that reflects the environment I am running in. Trails=bluegrass and country, city running=top hits, small town running= country, or sometimes jazz, treadmill= anything and everything to keep my mind off of being bored.

What is your must have running gadget, or item?

I always run with my phone for safety and just in case I get bored. I love listening to music and have been know to call my mom mid run.

In your spare time What other hobbies or sports do you love do?

I love being active. Anything that involves athletic wear, running shoes, and sweat. I also love horseback riding, reading, and blogging!

What type of things motivate you and push you towards success in life?

I constantly want to be better. I'm always finding ways to re-invent myself and come back stronger.

You have lots of certifications, Personal Trainer, Group Exercise, Fitness Specialist, Cycling Instructor, Insanity Instructor and Zumba instructor.  Do you love your job?  What is your favorite thing about having a job that helps better peoples lives?

There are not words to describe how much I love my job. Athletic wear, running shoes, sweat, spending time with a lot of people, music, helping others be happy... what's not to love?! At the end of the day if I have successfully made someone smile and sweat at the same time, I am did my job right.

Any goals you have set for 2014 that you'd like to share?

I am going to complete another half marathon and an obstacle course race!

If there was a song that would (almost) perfectly describe your life right now, what would it be?

I'm not sure if there is just one song, it would probably be an entire mixed playlist on shuffle.

Do you have a great accomplishment you have achieved in life?  Do you mind sharing?

So far, my half marathon and finding my amazing husband.

What are a few of your dreams or bucket list items?

My biggest dream is to be in a workout video with Shaun T. (He's the Insanity guy) I would also love to write a book and meet someone super famous.

Tell us something unique about you.

I am the oldest of five girls who are all dancers.

Love the name of your blog, Little Green Running Shoes, how did you come up with the name?

I actually own two pairs of green running shoes, that I wear almost everyday to work. People at work were constantly asking about them and I was embarrassed to admit that they are kid's size! When I decided to start a blog, I was looking for the most unique name I could find and then looked down at my shoes, voila!
